Opeyemi M. Olukotun
Painted in acrylic on large, rather square canvases, Opeyemi's works emphasize the face and only the face that occupies a large part of the surface. These portraits are part of Olukotun's "paradoxical" works that, despite giving the impression of perfect realism, take artifice and false pretensions of techniques that allow to achieve a result that is more evocative than real.
His catalogue is now available and presents his recent artwork, an essay written by art writer Sylvain Sankalé and his curriculum.
Moses Zibor
Although the artist excelled in visual arts throughout his childhood and adolescence and later headed his class at the beloved Yaba College of Technology, which boasts one of Nigeria's leading art departments, he recognized his innate talent for art at the age of 7, coinciding with hers the first memories of the hypersurrealist dreams she had, and still continues to experience to date.
