In Contours of Silence, Miska Mohmmed transforms the landscape into a charged field of color, movement and suspended memory. A vast orange ground dominates the composition, crossed by dark, organic forms that seem to hover between shoreline, body and terrain. Dotted patterns, flowing lines and saturated passages of red, black and blue create a rhythm that feels both geological and intimate. Rather than depicting a fixed place, Mohmmed constructs an inner landscape, where silence becomes active and the land seems to breathe through marks, contours and pulses of color.
This original acrylic and marker painting on canvas will appeal to collectors drawn to contemporary African abstraction where landscape, memory and movement merge into a vivid visual language.
