In Iwu Nne — The Mother’s Charge, REWA presents a close double portrait that speaks to protection, inheritance and intergenerational strength.

The mother’s embrace is both shield and compass. From her Jerome receives discipline, care, and sacrifice. She roots him in a heritage larger than himself, teaching that strength and devotion are the true foundation of pride.

The work will particularly appeal to collectors interested in contemporary portraiture centered on motherhood, lineage and Black female presence.
